Welcome!

We are pleased to invite you to Arizona State University for the 2007 Workshop on the mathematics of global public health: Modeling disease transmission and biological invasions.  This workshop promises unique and exciting opportunities at the interface of mathematical modeling, theoretical biology, and public health policy.  The conference is funded by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, ASU Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Interdisciplinary Training for Undergraduates in Biological and Mathematical Sciences at ASU (UBM) the Southwest Consortium for Mathematical and Life Sciences (SWC-MLS), the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS), The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), the Mathematical and Theoretical Biology Institute/Institute for Strengthening Understanding of Mathematics and Science (MTBI/SUMS), the Decision Theater at ASU, and the ASU School of Computing and Informatics and Mathematical Biological Institute (MBI) at the Ohio State University.
