I studied Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University while working every semester. I took a semester off but came back and met someone who would forever change my life: Dr. Carlos Castillo-Chavez. In his SummerProgram I was introduced to research and graduate school for the first time. I finished my BS and since mentored in the MTBI SummerProgram. I am a graduate student at ASU in applied mathematics, authored or co-authored several technical reports and received competitive recognitions including AMS and LANL presentation awards. I am a founding member and president of the student chapter of SIAM at ASU.
